POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Maintenance Associate is responsible for the appearance of the community by maintaining the grounds and common areas.

REPORTS TO: Community Maintenance Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintain daily upkeep of common areas and community buildings, including inclement weather care of snow removal by applying ice melt on sidewalks, steps, driveways, and parking lot areas of the property.
• Maintain grounds and common areas and keeping them free of trash and debris.
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with completion of preventative maintenance schedules and operation systems.
• Assist with readying apartments for leasing as instructed by Community Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain professional appearance and complete duties in a courteous manner.
• Complete light Maintenance duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Community Experience Manager or Community Maintenance Manager.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic maintenance and repair skills, including the use of hand tools and other necessary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and willingness to learn.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outside for long periods of time.
• Customer service orientation and effective oral and written communication skills, along with a positive and professional attitude.
